Services

This is a list of the basic services provided.  If you have questions about any of these services or other services that are not listed, please contact me.  

Consultation

This includes a full physical examination focused on the cardiovascular system. 

 

Echocardiogram

This is the ultrasound of the heart.  This is a non-invasive test that allows us to evaluate your pet's heart structure and function.

 

Electrocardiography (ECG)

This is a non-invasive test that allows me to monitor your pet's heart rate and rhythm. 



Radiographs (X-rays)

X-rays are a very important part of a complete cardiac evaluation.  We may recommend having radiographs performed as a part of your pet's evaluation.

 

Interventional procedures (Surgeries)

Minimally invasive procedures include; transvenous pacemaker placement, device closure of congenital defects, balloon valuloplasty.

 

Breeding certifications

I am available for breeding certifications. Please contact me for more information.

Blood pressure evaluation

Hypertension (high blood pressure) is also seen in cats and dogs and controlling blood pressure is a key aspect in managing cardiac disease.

 
Holter Monitoring

This refers to a 24 hour ECG monitor that your pet would wear at home.  This diagnostic is used to montior significant arrhythmias.


Pre-anesthetic evaluations

There is always a risk associated with general anesthesia.  A complete cardiac evaluation to help assess your pet's risks.  



Emergency Management

I will be available for consultation on an emergency basis for your pet, through your primary care or emergency veterinarian.



Phone consultations

I am available to evaluate radiographs and other diagnostics from your primary care veterinarian via phone or email.
